I lost my CSCS Card. From where I can get my CSCS Card again.

There are many types of CSCS cards available but it is very important that you select the right card as per your trade. For different trades, different type of CSCS Card is applicable like for labourer work or groundwork you need Green CSCS card, for manager you need to have a Black CSCS card.

How to get CSCS card?

If you already have a card and by any chance you lost your card then this article is to help you and make you aware of the process and steps by which you can get your CSCS card again which is required to work in the construction industry. These steps are also applicable if your card is broken or stolen and you are looking to order a replacement card for yourself or someone else.

Process of applying for replacement of CSCS Card:

1. You need to call CSCS on their number and place a request order for the replacement of your card.

2. You need to pay the fee of card issuance once again as a replacement card will cost you the same as getting a new CSCS card.

3. You need to pay the amount to CSCS via debit card or credit card.

4. Once the payment is done your new card will be issued and you will get the same within 3-5 working days.

What details do I require to apply for a replacement CSCS card?

For placing an order for a replacement card you need to keep the below information handy.

1. Your National Insurance Number

and/or 

2. Your CSCS registration number

Is CSCS registration number mandatory for replacement card issuance?

No. If you don't have a CSCS registration number or you forget your registration number then also you can apply for CSCS Card re-issuance if you have your national insurance number. This means that you need either a CSCS registration number or National Insurance Number.

Will the replacement card will hold the same information as my earlier CSCS card?

Yes. The new replacement card issued by CSCS will display the same information which is there on your old card including your card expiry date.

How much does it cost to get the replacement card?

Card will cost you 36 pounds + VAT if you are applying through CSCS.

If you are taking services of affiliate companies then they will charge a hefty amount as they will charge their fee in terms of service fee or admin fee or processing charges etc. So it is recommended to approach CSCS directly and call them to apply for the card.

Can I apply for a CSCS card if my old card is expired?

The issuance of a replacement card is valid only for those cards which are still in date means which are still valid and they have not expired. If your card is expired then you need to apply for a new CSCS Card or renewal of a CSCS card for which you:

1. Need to check the qualifications (Health, Safety Awareness course, NVQ's or SVQ's)

2. Need to pass CITB health, safety and environment test 

3. After passing both you can apply for the card.
