What is CITB test?

CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test is also popularly known as CSCS Test is an important and integral part of any construction worker training as it ensures that they are safe while working on any construction related project but also makes working on-site a safe place for other fellow workers as well by opting various safe methods and protocol for working. 

CITB test is of 45 minutes and in these 45 minutes, a candidate has to attempt and answer 50 questions to test their understanding and knowledge of health., safety and various environmental issues which they can encounter while working on site. 

A candidate has to get minimum 45 marks in the case of the CITB test for operatives and 46 marks in the case of the CITB test for specialists and managers & professionals.

 If a candidate fails to pass the test on the first attempt then he/she can re-sit for the test by paying for the test again. In this process, one can apply for the re-sit only after 48 hours from the time the candidate has previously undergone the test.

If you are not good in English language or English is not your first language then you can opt for the voice-over option as well which gives you the privilege to select a language for voice-over from a number of languages available. The voice-over will help you to understand the questions in a clearer and better way so that you can attempt them correctly.

What kind of questions are asked in CITB test?

It is a multiple choice test in which you are given various options and you have to select the correct options from the various options given. The questions are related to health, safety and environmental issues in construction. 

Where are the test centers of CSCS Test?

CITB test can be booked at venues around UK. You can book the test center yourself online or you can also contact CITB over the phone. All just you need is to find the nearest center to your place and book yourself for the slot which suits you.

There are multiple time and dates available for various centers so you have to pick the date and center location as per your choice. 

How to pay for CITB Test?

You need to pay upfront which means you have to pay for the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test before going for the test. After booking your test only you can go and give your test at the center.

You can pay for CITB Health, Safety and Environment test using your credit or debit card. You can also use your net banking for paying the amount of the CITB test. 

Advantage of passing the CITB test

After passing the CITB Test you can apply for a CSCS Card which is required to work on-site. Without passing the test you cannot get a CSCS Card as passing the CITB test is a mandatory requirement for getting the CSCS Card.
