Applying for CSCS cards or Construction Skills Certification Scheme Cards

If you wish to get a CSCS card for yourself, you can apply it online or by sending your request "Need CSCS Card" to constructioncards@gmail.com

Before you apply for the card there are certain things which should be handy with you.

Please make sure that you:

  1. Should have a scanned copy of the certificate of your qualification, or the written proof of enrollment that you are already registered to complete a recognized qualification related to construction which is also relevant to your work/service or occupation.
  2. You can also check whether the qualification you hold is relevant for getting your CSCS card. To check the relevance, CSCS offers a great tool known as CSCS Card Finder. You can select the “search by qualification” option and type in your qualification and can check the results which appear. This will help you to understand your eligibility for the card as per your qualification.
  3. You should complete and pass the CITB Test (Health, Safety, and Environment) and should have the test ID number from your CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test popularly known as CITB Test. Its duration is 45 mins and it is a touchscreen test. The ID is found at the top of your passing certificate issued by CITB once you pass the test. 
  4. Have the required amount in card (debit or credit) to pay the application fee.

The picture which comes on your card is called profile picture and is taken when you go for CITB HS&E test. If you applying to CITB test with an exemption to the test then you have to submit the photograph (Head to Shoulder with white background) along with your application.

Case 2: If you already had a card and lost it and looking for re-issuance

If you already had a construction-related CSCS card and you are looking for its re-issue or renewal then you can claim your CSCS Card easily by following below mentioned simple and easy steps to claim your card and get the same re-issued.

  1. Create online account if you have not created one.
  2. After creating of your online account with CSCS website you need to select ‘My cards’ section which is available in the main menu of your account. After that go to "Claim my card".
  3. Keep your last card registration number handy.
  4. Enter the registration number of your card in the space provided and click on enter.
  5. This will help to link your previous card to your newly created online account and you will have the same registration on your new card.
  6. As per your wish, you either apply to renew your old CSCS card, or can also apply for the same CSCS Card. You can even apply for a new and different card using this process.

If you have Green Labourer card, PQP card or AQP card which got expired then you cannot use this method for their renew. For those, you can write a mail with your details (Name, Mobile Number, DOB, Email Id, Card Type, Qualifications(if any)) to constructioncards@gmail.com. They can help you in the best possible ways to sort your issue and get you a new card.
