What is a CSCS card?

A CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is a card that can be treated as proof that you are appropriately qualified for the task you are applying for or working already and have the appropriate training to work safely on a construction site. Employers and project owners across the United Kingdom are making CSCS Card mandatory for working due to advantages associated with the card holders as it makes the place accident-free and safe to work for everyone. Below details are required while applying for the right CSCS Card as per trade 

  • Complete name of the applicant
  • Date of Birth of the applicant
  • National insurance number of the applicant
  • Home address of the applicant
  • Alternate or office address (if any) of the applicant (this is not mandatory)
  • Contact number
  • Email address where further communication can be shared
  • Trade for which card is required
  • Old Card number (If already hold any CSCS Card)

Once there information is provided and you become eligible to apply for the card by passing CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test and CSCSCourse (Health, Safety, Awareness Course or Level 1 Award) or NVQ (whichever is applicable as per the card type you are applying) your card application will be submitted and you will get your card with 3-5 working days on your door step.
